Title: Convertible Floor Mats
Post by: dave6768 on January 08, 2012, 09:32:29 AM
Is it true that the floor mats for a 67 and 68 convertible should be trimmed to fit?  They just seem too wide.  Funny, you never see any in the concourse cars at shows (I know they are supposed to be out of the cars) and I always forget to ask.

I don't think this is a yes or no answer since dealerships would have installed floor mats (if bought.)  Just depends on how the original selling dealer installed them when new.  I'm sure some of them were trimmed.  I always trim them for convertibles because they look/fit better.

Thanks Charles.
I have a new set and the set that's been in the car for about 20 years.  I may experiment with the old ones before I cut the new ones.  I've not seen ones that were cut, but they must look better when trimmed.

They fit pretty much perfect in a convertible when trimmed...
