1969 Mach I, Dearborn built feb 69 428 SCJ, Royal Maroon with black interior. Tape stripe on the build sheet shows an "M" - I assume it is the Gold stripe and not the white stripe? Lost my Marti book, don't ask, ordering another today. Car was repainted when we got it with no stripe. Anyone? Bueller?
thanks! Dave

Take a look at the chart below. It's a little confusing as it doesn't list black for an interior color option for a Royal Maroon Mach 1, but I believe that gold is the correct color stripe.

Perfect thanks! I bought the right stripe yay!! - Dave

There were suggested color combinations but a buyer could specify another if they wanted. Consider that many/most of the buyers had cars built for them rather than purchasing them off the lot in those days

So if a person does not have the build sheet then there is no conclusive answer? My Winter Blue car has a gold stripe (not original) when I bought it but the chart says it should be black.
Thanks

From examples of original cars I would agree. Plenty of examples of cars not built to the suggested pattern

The build sheet for our mach 1 shows "M" for the stripe.
