Title: fan shroud clearance

i have a 70 mustang with a 351c 4v auto .have 24" rad with a 17.5 'fan blade .what should the clearance be on the sides and top and bottom  have abuot 3/8 on the side and 1/4 on the bottom and maybe 1 1/2 on the top

Have you installed the fan shroud to see how it fits inside that? I would use the shroud to be your best guide to see if it is fitting correctly.
