Is the radio condenser that mounts to the voltage regulator the same one that mounts to the alternator or are they different?
-
The radio condenser that mounts to the voltage regulator and alternator are different. The size of the condensers and mounting points aren't the same.
-
Yes the alternator mounted condensers are much harder to find since they were only used for such a short period of time in 1965. The are fragile too and often the wire lead gets pulled out of the condenser.

I kind of thought they were different but would double check...I'm actually looking for a Fomoco one at the voltage regulator. I just got one for the alternator and saw a second one on ebay and thought maybe there would be chance they could be the same...

The voltage regular condensers are much easier to find relatively speaking compared to the external alternator ones.

Could you share a picture of the one for the alternator? Any distinguishing marks on it?
Thanks...
