After reading a post on foldown seat moulding on the B2 forum, a very respected restorer mentioned that the "hockey stick" mouldings for the folddown seat are different than the non folddown versions. I know I have at least one set from a foldown seat car but I have no Idea which set that is... I went thru my mouldings and it appears that the engineering number suffix's are the same left and right, only the group number changes, SO... Here are the pairs I have:
C9ZB-633112(3)-BW GB
C9ZB-633112(3)-CW GB
C9ZB-633112(3)-DW
D0ZB-633112(3)-AW GB-1
The mouldings are all moulded off white and painted, so I'm sure that it's not a color issue, and the only ones I'm sure are not for a folddown are the C9ZB-CW GB marked ones as they are the original ones off the car and are Vermillion in color, all the rest are black.. One set has small rubber washers glued to the back around the screw holes, the rest all are almost identical.
If it helps, the vermillion ones (C9ZB-CW GB) are off a early 70 Metuchen car (9/30/69)
Anyone have any ideas ????
Thank's in advance, John

There is a difference in bottom curve as the cardboard package tray is more rounded.

Hi Brian, Does your car have a folddown ? , Thank's Ed, it was your post I saw on the B2 forum, I'll try to compare the mouldings to figure this out..... John

The MPC shows separate listings with and without fold down, but the part numbers are the same. In the comments section is $A and $B.
$ sign indication "Paint to Match".

The part numbers listed below are from a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Sportsroof w/ folddown seat. These parts have been removed and replaced by me and the Id #'s noted at that time.

I see where the 1975 dated MPC lists C9ZZ parts for fixed seat, and D0ZZ parts for fold down seat, and I acknowledge reading Ed's note on the difference in the curve.
I picked up a handful of these the other day from someone that has been fixing Mustangs for 50 years. Fixing, not restoring.
Referring to the attached document, when comparing the C9 and D0 parts, the curve is identical. I can't see any difference. However, just because these have C9 and D0 molded into the part does not mean that they were C9ZZ and D0ZZ service parts. These were almost certainly take-off original parts.
The question that I have is on the part identified as SPEC? There are a few differences compared to the others, the most notable is that they are "taller" and "shorter", noting the dimensions included.
Has anyone seen this? I have 9 non-SPEC and only 1 marked as SPEC. Thanks in advance.

If i remember correctly the spec marked were fold down. probly short meaning for special.

Thanks Ed. I've pulled several off of fixed seat cars in junkyards over the last couple years and none had SPEC, so that lines up.
