Title: '67 Mustang Convertible - Trunk Lid Bolts
Post by: janglemyer on April 16, 2012, 09:15:21 AM
What color are the truck lid bolts that hold the truck lid to the hinges?  Are they painted the same as the truck lid or are they black oxide.  Are the bolts on the each side of the hinges the same color?

body color for both sets of bolts.

thanks, I would think that they painted the trunk lid off the car and re-asembled the lid with new bolts.  Unless they left the bolts in the holes and then painted the interior and then re-asembled the trunk lid.

Depending on the assembly plant, the spiral rubber wrap on one of the rods would be either body color over-spray or unpainted.

I believe my Jersey 67 rubber sleeve was unpainted.

Thank you for all the information.

Does anyone know where to buy the rubber truck tension rod anit-rattle.  It seems as tho the only one I can find is the one cut right down the middle?

Do anyone know where I can find a spiral one?

Thanks.
