I'm replacing the interior door panels on a '67 coupe with a de-luxe interior. The door light lenses are the rectangular type with a red and larger white part. I need to know for sure which way round the bulb holders fit [pointing towards the front /back of the car] and similarly does the white part of the lens face the front /back of the car? I've seen the lenses fitted either way round on different cars but there must surely only be one correct way!! Thanks for any help, Mike.

I'm finding white end of the lens to the inside when doors are open - and could only guess but would think the light is aimed inward when door is open. We'll see what others have seen ;)

Yes the white gos toward the interior of the car. It seem like the lens is made to only go one way if your door was original. Marty

Yep, the white lens is supposed to face the interior of the car to light up the interior when the door is opened. The Red lens is a Reflector for oncoming traffic to see that your door is open during nighttime hours.

Same observation on my 66.
