Title: Wheel Paint Dabs
Post by: ruppstang on August 27, 2012, 11:48:05 PM
Today I blasted  some 68 standard rims I found a ring of blue paint on the inside of the center hole. Has any one seen this. Also might mention that these rims were painted body color for the center caps.I am not sure if that had anything to do with the paint dabs. Marty

Have not seen any paint marks (identification marks) on the face of rims - always on the back side - typically on the rim section. The paint marks were to identify the size of the rim for the workers. Allot of the time the wheels got no paint daubs - at least for what ever was the standard application.

I take that these were under the body color paint
