Looking for any possible pictures of sound deadener application on a 01/72, Dearborn, Mach 1. Interested in all areas, trunk, wheel wells and firewall. If I am missing any other areas please advise.
Thank you,

I checked and sorry - haven't spent as much time on the 71-73s collecting details. With that said here is what I do have. Hope this helps
Rear wheelwells. It appears the practice was different than earlier years with the worker typically stopping a long way from the outer lip

Splatter or overspray from the wheelwell application

Floor application of sound deadener for Grande and Mach. Like over years it appears that it was applied after much of the car was assembled (engine, trans, brake & fuel lines, rearend and such installed ) but no mufflers or driveline.

Trunk sound deadener is difficult to see with the tri tone (Zonotone - (s?) over the top of everything

Front wheel wells were difficult to find pictures of. Like other years you have spray sealant along the rear seams then (after car was assembled - minus wheel and tires) sound deadener was typically applied to the majority of the surfaces and bottom of fender visible from below in the front wheelwell
First two pictures relate to a narrow application of spray on seam sealer prior to the sound deadener application to the front wheel well

No nice clear pictures of the firewall but pretty much like all later Dearborn cars. Heavy thick application of sealer around and over every opening, plug, screw, clip, electrical connection, bracket attaching to or coming through the firewall except fore the ground with and screw
Hope this helps

Related information. This product worked well in those locations where brushed on seam sealer was used. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?R=MSR4200_0006419404

Product is listed as being available in gray - is it also available in black? Or is this a very dark gray - almost black?
Have to ask since I've not found it typically gray ;)

I've only seen it in medium grey with a slight greenish tint. Martin Senour Paints is the manufacturer. They may have it in other colors as a second part number is listed (4201) http://www.martinsenour-autopaint.com/media/pds/english/9514.pdf Neither spec sheet specifies color. Sorry couldn't be of more help. Chuck
