Title: OEM equivalent replacement leaf springs?
Post by: 69RavenConv on October 27, 2012, 11:44:55 PM
I got my convertible on the road this fall and it's apparent I need new leaf springs. I hoped I could use the originals but I have a broken leaf on one side and both sides sag badly, especially with a full tank of gas. Rebuilding is an option but replacements are probably cheaper. I'm confused by the many variants available, so many options at so many price points -- all I want is the factory equivalent leaf spring for an F-code convertible.  Factory ride, height etc. What should I be looking for? Thanks!

Check out http://www.eatonsprings.com/.  OEM manufacturer and they use original prints and tooling.

FYI Eaton Springs were  NOT a OEM manufacturer back in the day. They have a similar name to the multi national conglomerate that was the OEM to Ford. They do however build springs to Ford blueprints .
