Title: Another part ID please...Snorkle
Post by: hkopp on January 30, 2013, 03:31:47 PM
This snorkle was on my 69 428scj shaker assembly when I bought the car - obviously not the correct one.  I have since replaced it with the right snorkle and was curious if anyone knows what this fits?  I was told on another forum that it was from an earlier 351w Shelby but I just dont know about that.  I was going to sell it once I have an ID on it and want to represent it correctly.  Anyone have an idea?

Kind of looks like a 429CJ

Base is shaped differently as is the raised hump on the base section. Also looks a little shorter  - than a 429 CJ - might be a regular 429 . the heat riser attachment looks larger than the paper tube size, more like the metal tube size but hard to be sure with the picture and no reference.

Was guessing a 302 but the top raised area of the base section (on top) doesn't match that application - or at least any of the years and cars I have pictures.

common junk yard snorkel & like 70 71 429 cj but holes are in center & others have holes offset to top more but good for donor wth small hole bottom for B2s.  your sn orkle uses common paper tube.
