Moving on from the removable carrier, which is not correct, it got me thinking about the axle housing. The springs and shocks are original, and appropriately date coded, so the carrier threw me a little for a loop. Before I get the axle housing dipped, I would like to know if it is correct. I found what appears to be a "3" on the top, but that's it. No stamping numbers either. The inner seals carry a . Pictures below. Is this correct for my car? Thanks. BTW, some pretty lousy welding going on there.

Unfortunately it does not look correct - Center section looks like the original style for an early/mid 67

But all the others I found didn't have the tapered end on small block rearends
