Title: New Improved Repro '65-'66 Firewall pad?

Subject: New Improved Repro '65-'66 Firewall pad?

I had heard late last year that someone was taking a shot at making a major improvement in making a '65-'66 Repro Firewall Pad.

Has anyone heard of this?  Or know who is selling it?


Definitely a much needed item compared to what is/was currently out there..

I agree, they can't do much worse than what's on the market now.  Have you noticed that NPD is now offering a molded and textured firewall pad?  I wonder how that one fits as compared to an original?

Yeah, NPD had higher grade one for years at like $130.00 or so, but It really wasn't even close to original, Yet it did fit better than the others.  I'm wondering if they stock this NEW one that I've heard of..

We recently purchased one of these pads and although it looks a little closer to the original it is still isn't worth the money.

With all the different suppliers and versions (ac holes) don't think we're going to have anything soon. Would make a nice niche (well maybe ;) for someone to become the "firewall pad guy"  LOL
