Title: Convertible header seal reatiner to header screws
Post by: Oz390 on March 23, 2013, 06:55:28 PM
Metal strip that holds teh weatherstripping to the header.

See multiple references in the expoded views I have.  Most call out a pan head, but most of the tops I have seen have 8-32 x 3/8" flat head self cutters here (same as the side pad to bow).  Anyone know the correct part number?

The straight pan head ones I see more on 69's. On 68's I usually see a phillips with an integral washer similar to a wheel opening molding screw but smaller washer. 69's are phosphate. The 68's appear to be bright, not really chrome but brighter than zinc. Flash chrome I think.

Thanks Tim.

I would not think plant would make a big difference I would have expected that all tops would have been assembled in Utica and shipped, pre-assembled, to the 3 production lines?
