Dearbiorn, May 70 B2.
Is there an orientation for the 2 clamps that are on the rubber hose between the tank and filler neck? For example are the clamps orientated to the side, towards the front of the car, etc? The assembly manual does not show that level of detail, so I suspect it may be a plant thing.
I still have my original hose and it is in very hood condition. I also noticed that the clamps have the tightening screws going opposite directions (can tell its been that way for a long time given the impression into the rubber). is this common?

This is how it looks on my car. Interestingly enough the lower screw is installed opposite of the upper. Brian

Thanks Brian, that is the same as mien with the screws going opposite directions.

Though allot of the ones I have are of cars with the evap system did find a couple of 49 states that might help
Just the bottom clamp. Same direction as the clamps below

Top and bottom both about the same spot and same direction - looks like tails of the clamp are facing towards the passenger side
