I've been trying to decide which brand of tires to put on my car ('67 GTA convertible), and I think I'm about 75% sold on a set of the Diamond Back III Redlines. Does anybody here have these tires on their car?
If so, are you still happy with your purchase - or do you think that you should have gone with something else instead (like Cokers, etc...)?
Any feedback/recommendations would be appreciated!

i have had the coker redlines on my '06 for 4 years now. they are wearing good, ride good & handle fine. no experience with the diamond brand.

A guy in town here has a set on a '68 fastback. He tells me that he also totally happy with them... ;)

Thanks for the comments so far!

These DB IIIs are based on BFG Radial T/A tires. I have been using BFG T/As for quite a while and have been satisfied with these for normal highway use. I'm not sure what question you are really asking - BFG or DB - but cosmetically DB does a nice job with the sidewalls. I bought these with the dual redlines for my '66 and I think the sidewalls look excellent. I also interviewed folks at car shows (all makes) about their DB tires and got positive feedback, which assisted my decision.
Here is a thread that includes a picture of the tires I bought.

Thanks Jim,
I guess my main apprehension was in regards to the sidewall treatment. I've never seen a set of DBs in person, so I was concerned about any visible seams in the rubber where the new redline sidewall was applied, or any problems with the redline sidewall not being exactly centered on the tire. Sounds like neither of those are really an issue...
BTW - Your car and the dual redlines look great!!

As luck would have it, I just deleted a bunch of closeup pictures I took of the sidewalls for someone else ::) And the car is now in another location for a little while so I can't repeat them. I would just say that the sidewalls look very "factory" and the sidewall stripes are very concentric/uniform.
Thanks for the nice comment about my car.

Well, I took the plunge and went with a set of 225 60R15 Diamond Back III Redlines.
Here's how they look mounted onto a brand new set of Scott Drake 15 x 7 Styled Steel Wheels - not too shabby...
I can't wait to see them on the car!

Me too! They look GREAT Kevin! ;D
