Title: 66 Metuchen Rocker Moulding Clips
Post by: bryancobb on May 29, 2013, 01:03:46 PM
Were the clips for the rocker mouldings green zinc-chromate primer?  Mine appear OEM and are green.

Also how were they attached on the assembly-line?  Pop-Rivets?

All the originals I have seen, regardless of assembly plant were olive green color.  Yes, pop rivets to attach.

All of the clips I have seen are the green color as mentioned.
The only difference I have noticed is that some have about
a 3/8" hole in the very center of the clip and some don't.

Have you also noticed that for the pop rivit holes one is slotted
and the other is a hole, believe the slot goes to the bottom or
it may not make a difference.

Yes, normally slot goes down.  Attach the top rivet first.
