Title: Help needed on ID various engine parts on a Hi-Po 289
Post by: silverfox on July 05, 2013, 08:13:53 PM

Hi everyone.

I'm in the process of taking out a Hi-Po 289 out of my '66 GT350 clone and I could do with some assistance because the Hi-Po motor in the car appears to have a mix of Hi-Po non-correct and correct parts.

Help needed to verify the oil pan, oil cooler, fuel pump and fan.
Many thanks
Chris

Oil pan - Genuine cobra unit (I think it may be genuine?)

Difficult to tell the COBRA oil pan over the internet - often comes down to weighing it and comparing that measurement to originals. Many repo have no additional markings

Oil filter holder is an after market unit

Fuel filter is an over the counter pump - might be a carter but does not have the normal markings but not original to a Hipo
