Title: Optional under-the-hood or trunk light question
Post by: Hipo giddyup on August 29, 2013, 12:51:41 PM
I have purchased an NOS under the trunk/hood light that I would like to add to my 1964 1/2 coupe. Does anyone have pics or illustrations of where they would mount under the hood and trunk? Also how they would tie into the wiring? Ford part number is C2RZ-15A700-A. Thanks!

These were not a factory option, just a dealer accessory.  Normally have to drill a hole to mount them.  You would need to run a wire into the car to power it or possibly tie into a wire in the engine bay.  Personally, I wouldn't install one on a 65-66, but that's just my opinion!

Curious, would there have been a factory installed accessory light? I have seen another Rotunda light for similar use but it's more square?

Hood and trunk lights first became a factory option in '67.  The round rotunda light is just a general purpose light, installed on any car.  Most of the 'RZ' parts are for general use.
