I've seen so many pictures of a/c bracket setups I don't know what to think anymore. This car was taken apart by the PO and I have no history with the car so don't even know if what I have is original. Anyway, is the bracket that's below the compressor correct? I've seen pictures that don't have the bracket at all and with it but they have an idler pulley on them. This bracket doesn't look like it ever had an idler stem welded to it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Anybody? I was wondering if this could be an aftermarket bracket but I see one ebay that says it's an idler delete bracket for a 351C? Did they come from the factory with idler delete? on certain models or engine sizes? or was it to a TSB fix? or what? Most of the '70 Ford shop manuals diagrams look like they were using the 351W.

I now think it's for a '71 - '73. Anybody have a '70 351C 4V without the fixed idler?

The triangular bracket was used on Mustangs after 1970, to replace the idler pulley for A/C.
