Title: 69 Dearborn 390 Oil Filter Adapter
Post by: G Wood on September 17, 2013, 10:28:06 PM
I have read that the oil filter adapter should be paint blue as it was on the engine at the time of paint. I think this differs from a 428 as the oil filter adapter is natural. Can anyone confirm if a 390 adapter should be painted or not?

Whoever wrote what you read was mis informed. The adapter was unpainted on 390 the same as on 427,428's. The same goes for the black adapter gasket. ;)
