Title: Radiator rubber insulators - upper and lower
Post by: rmaginnis on February 18, 2010, 03:10:45 AM
I seem to have two different insulators for the radiator saddles. One has the p/n C8... and the other has no p/n. They are also different sizes. What is the correct p/n for the insulators on both the upper bracket and the lower saddles? Anyone got any they want to get rid of?

This is for a big block/B302 application.
Thanks,
Rick

I would have to think the insulators with no numbers are aftermarket.  All the current aftermarket insulators I see today are like that with no numbers or markings of any kind.

All I have is 67-69 stuff so I'm not sure if that would help with your build. And my MPC is a 68 version  so no help there. Would guess you all ready looked it up in the final version though we know how different that information might be

The shorter insulators are more than likely for a 67-68 upper mount with the 24" radiator.  They are different from the 69-70 as you see in your photo.  I do not recall all the part numbers but I can look them up if you need them.  Ford did not always have numbers on their parts.  Some vendors just did not see it necessay to ad this to tooling.

As I replied on the other site. Both of Rick's insulators are correct, the uppers have no number and the lowers are numbered. Just like my originals. HTH.
