Title: Roof Console Removal, '67 Coupe?
Post by: drummingrocks on November 10, 2013, 08:56:42 PM
I need to change the front and rear windshield gaskets on my '67 coupe, and I figured while I was at it, I might as well replace the headliner as well.  The car came with a factory overhead console, and try as I might, I have no idea how it mounts, or how to remove it.  I sure don't want to damage it!  Thanks for the help!

Should be two screws at the rear, and two at the front.  Lower gently, as there shuld be a short ground wire attaching it at the front to the roof/bracket and the main feed at the rear (from the original dome light pug).

You will need to install the front braket before the headliner (well, you may not "have" to but it is easier) and then cut it a bit to install the console, room for the lights to poke up...

Now that I see the screws, it doesn't look all that difficult.  Thanks for the help!
