9/17/69 Metuchen, Mach 1
My 1970 Mach 1 was an early build and had a 351 Windsor (per ford 999 and Marti reports stating Windsor Motor).
So my question is, would the accessory brackets and associated hardware (power steering and alternator) be the same that was used in 1969? All of those brackets I find state 1969 and I have yet to find anything for 1970?
The same question for the crank pulley and fan pulley.
Thanks,
Tony

That car should have the 1970 351W brackets. Which includes a harmonic balancer with the 4 bolt holes for the crank shaft pulley. Power steering brackets are one year only, 1970. Alternator parts are like what is found on 351 Cleveland's the same year.

Thank you.. The engine at some point was replaced with a 351C. I am replacing it with a windsor block..
Would you have a picture of the correct power steering bracket?

Thank you. What about the bracket that goes around the PS pump, is the 351W same as a 351C?
I think it is per this link, but want to confirm: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/d0zz-3a732-a.html

Just want to point out that the 70 351W alternator head spacer bracket is unique to 1970 351W. The 69 351W used the same style bracket but they used different bolt sizes, IIRC larger bolts on 70, so they are different between each year. Agreed that the Triangular bracket and adjustment bracket for alternator are same as 351C that year. Triangle bracket was also used on 302.

A couple - poor (sorry) pictures related to your PS mounting questions
Notice the LARGE round spacer between the PS bracket and head if your not running AC

I see the extra thick spacer.
I was also able to locate a correct PS, adjustment bracket.

Are you referring to the spacer in the attached picture (for reference only, not a 351W engine)?
Thanks

Yes, but the 69-70 version of the bracket behind the aluminum spacer shown in your pic. The spacer and bracket shown in your pic looks like the 71-Newer spacer for 351W. The 70 version would be a T-Shaped bracket that does not use a separate spacer. The reason for this particular bracket is because the 351W uses the same alternator brackets as the 302 and since the 351W heads are wider spaced the alternator long bolt would go right into the Freeze plug on front of cyl. head if there wasn't the spacer there to create a mounting point for the alt. long bolt. Here is a link to the 1969 spacer. The 70 looks exactly the same just with different bolt hole sizes.
