Title: Gas Tank Filler Neck Pipe
Post by: Sunlitgold68 on March 01, 2010, 09:53:15 AM
What finish is the gas tank filler neck pipe? I didn't find any markings on mine, are they the same from 1965 to 1968?

They are a lead/tin dip.  I think Jeff had someone do an analysis once.

Charles, Surtonics offers this plating, have you ever plated one? Was thinking of sending mine to them.

I hope they will do small orders . Their website looks to be gear for a larger indusrial client rather  then a 3 or 4 gas filler neck client. Bob

They do anything, I had them replate 10 bolts one time but it's better to have a large order, 5 gallon bucket of bolts can be done for same price.
