Title: 64 1/2 Exhaust Hangers / Clamps
Post by: DM_1964 on March 28, 2014, 11:03:12 PM
Seeing that the mufflers weren't stamped with part numbers, I'm curious if the hangers and clamps were stamped with FoMoCo markings or where they plain like the mufflers.

From what I understand the only items that had a part number was the Y pipe and the tail pipe (referring to a V8 Single system exhaust)

Haven't found any markings on single exhaust hangers, but most I see are crusty-rusty, so hard to say for sure.

The tailpipe is stamped with the part # for the Muffler and tailpipe . Remember they are one piece units. The Y pipe is #ed also. Not sure on the intermediate pipe. Also there will be no resonator.

Do you clean up the existing and reuse or are you replacing with repros? if so, where from?

Just to confirm, do you mean the muffler and tailpipe one piece?

Yes the muffler and tailpipe are a single welded assembly .
