Title: 1970 White wall tire stripe
Post by: fastfret7 on May 04, 2014, 12:57:55 PM
Does anyone know the width (inches) of the white wall stripe of the f70 Polyglas tires that came standard on the 14x7 steel wheeled Mustangs? I want a comfortable tire that looks close to correct. Any suggestions maybe? I could good with the actual remakes, but that would almost $1000 just for tires!!! Again, thanks everyone for all their help!!!!!

It's exactly 3/8"
Here's some pics of the original F70 spare on my 69 Mach 1 that has never had a flat repair.
It should be noted that the Goodyear wheel weights are original too.
Ford branded weights were not always used.
