Title: Wiper Motor/Arm Question
Post by: lscman on July 21, 2014, 09:00:37 PM
Did the early 65 Hipo Mustangs have some sort of cosmoline or grease on the wiper motor and arms to protect them?

Have found lithium grease on the moving joints but not on the complete arms or motor- Not like they were exposed to the elements like later 69-up years

Plus not something the owner would see in their daily use of the car

I've seen original arms that looked like they were tacky and attracted dust/dirt and then others that were clean.  The wiper motors usually look like they had a cosmoline coating.  I'd say you can go either way with the arms.

Guess I was thinking of the thick heavy stuff rather than the tacky buy strip finish :(
