Title: axle tag id
Post by: 67gta289 on August 11, 2014, 05:53:44 PM
Have an axle tag, picture below, from...if I recall correctly from 30 years ago...a 70 Mach 1 351C 4 speed staggered shock rear swaybar car.

The WDM-S does not show up on MustangTek, and I don't have a 70 shop manual.

For Fordification web site identifies it as a 9" 3.25 non locking 28 spline.

Perhaps this tag was from another stash - a lot can happen with time and moves.

Can anyone confirm the WDM-S application?  Thanks.

Can confirm that axle code WDM-S does not appear in the Marti Mustang and Cougar Tagbook.  Brian

Looks like a truck tag, non-locking 28 spline. Probably F-100 or F-150.

That code is not listed in the 68 nor 72 Ford passenger car MPC. Might be from a different application

You can put lipstick on a PIG...but it's still a PIG

all punn intended :D

So the tag for the PIG is probably out of an F-100, not a Mach 1, no lipstick ;)
