also called the brake pedal push rod. The SEARCH function does not return any specifics for this push rod. This is some info from my experience with my 65 GT disc brake car. Pushrod length, master cylinder rebuild kit NAPA # 493 and the OE brake switch. Brian

Would you have a photo of the brake and clutch pedal in relation to each other with the pictured rod installed
In other words do the 2 pedals roughly line up with each other in normal position
Just curious as my brake pedal sits a little closer to the floor than the clutch pedal
Have the same setup as you on a 65

Picture is of the brake and clutch pedals in my 65. There is a 1 and 3/4" difference in the elevations of these pedals in relation to each other. The brake pedal being higher than the clutch pedal. The measured difference is from top of pedal pad to top of pedal pad. Measured from the top of pedal pad to the carpet; Brake pedal 7 inch's and the clutch pedal 5 and 1/4 inch's. Both pedals have the ' stop ' pads engaged and no further upward travel is possible. Brian

I posted a want to buy ad for an original '66 GT disc brake pushrod. I had the wrong pushrod in my '66 fastback and wanted to replace it.
I finally had to take my '65 convertible apart (it's a disc brake car too) to measure the original pushrod length. Several people thought the had a pushrod to sell, but they wanted to be sure the length was correct.

So is your push rod different than the one posted on this thread?

I haven't taken the incorrect one of the '66 fastback yet. The pushrod in this thread looks exactly like the one I took off of my '65 convertible last weekend. I have a sneaking suspicion that the one in the fastback is going to be a bit shorter than it should be.

I have about 5 push-rods, they were all the same, will have to measure them.
