Hi Folks. I have a 1965 Dearborn built Fastback with a build date of September 2, 1964. My fastback has a standard interior with the standard gauge set (Sweep speedometer.). For the instrument panel main wiring harness I understand that there are 2 tags affixed to the wiring harness. Here's the description from the ECS Automotive website:
"This harness is located inside the car and routes from the fuse box, along the top of the dash reinforcement metal under the dash pad. The tags were usually found in two different areas. It was located 2" to 3" from where the harness exits the fuse box, or on the loom in front of the driver. A solid colored tag also accompanied this tag, and was located approximately an inch or two away. We offer red, blue, tan and green solid tags with these to complete the set."
Anybody know what would be the correct color of the solid tag they mention (in bold) above for my fastback? The sales guy at ECS said it varied and they can't tell me a specific color to choose. Here is the link to their webpage. http://ecsautomotive.com/productdesc.php?co=f&id=34 I'll even accept educated guesses to mull over. Thanks!

Could you verify the year. A build date of September 2, 1965 would be a 66 model Mustang. My notes say that a 66 main harness has one tag located at the spot where the gauge, coil and heater wires go thru the fire wall. The tag is yellow with blue letters for the part number. I didn't note the source. Other notes show a p/n of C6ZB-14401-B, -C, -F and a -G. I assume there were running changes, for the emergency flasher circuitry possibly.
