Title: Source for 67-68 ash tray bumpers
Post by: Oz390 on September 06, 2014, 10:04:05 PM
Does anyone know a source for the two small white nylon (or similar) bumpers on the inner tab of ash tray?  Can only find the rubber console versions at most vendors.

As far as I know they are not reproduced by anyone. The wear bushings under a factory distributor plate are very close and can be used but need to be glued in place because stems are a little thinner

Not a request that comes up much which is most likely the reason that the after market hasn't responded yet. That coupled with the fact that they are still relatively prevalent over here to just replace the assembly with one with better bumpers if there is a issue. I just wanted to explain why you aren't finding a after market replacement.

Thanks for the replies.  Tooling up for such an odd/tiny part would be expensive.

I have just re-plated a few OEM's and one was missing the parts.  Will see what I can find, thanks for the tips and info.
