Title: Rear Seat Padding
Post by: bryancobb on March 30, 2010, 09:48:12 PM
I carefully removed the original padding on my rear seat for reuse.  It's natural cotton wrapped in cheesecloth and lined with jute as we all know.   My question is ... has anyone successfully recreated this padding using modern materials?  I'd really like to do away with this stinky, stale old cotton.  I'd like that "new car smell" that you get with modern synthetic materials.

Do you have an auto trim shop in your locale?  They should have new material to build the padding back up.
