I thought there was a previous post about the appearance of rear leaf springs. I know its not Shelby specific, so it should be fairly straight forward.....

Agreed dark heat treated metal look not a flat black paint look.

Here are pictures of the springs from my 4500 mile 65 coupe with handling package. Springs were removed to clean off the black paint and undercoating that was applied by the original owner. There is a definite blue cast to them.
