Guessing that the "5W" was the identification you found on your car or driveline from that car originally.

If so when was the car estimated to have been built?

The 5W is the only one I've seen sold commercially but the font was incorrect when compared to original examples  :(

Just trying to collect data so that we may be able to decode the last digits at some point. Right now we're left to just comparing cars built at the same plant around the same time

If you don't have the original markings from your original driveline, if it was indeed made with the stencil number on it, I offer the following findings.

For that period of time I've got a number of examples with "11W"

Here you can slightly see the green originally.  I saw green flakes half of the yolk and just decided to replicate the same color shade.  Don't know if the application is correct.
