66 Mustang Idler Arm
« on: March 12, 2011, 10:37:27 AM »
Trying to figure out the correct idler arm set up for my 66 vert with manual steering. 2 pics below, which is correct? The style of the one of the left is on my car now. I've seen the one on the right advertised for both manual and power steering. (Part # on box in right pic is C0DZ 3350-B)

The general appearance of the one in the RH picture looks correct for 6-cyl, though the p/n is suspect (I only have a 1975 MPC to go by, and there is no listing for this arm as an assembly with the bracket).  I have a NOS 6-cyl. MS arm only here;

The 4/67 MPC I have handy shows two different part numbers for the MS and PS +

Interesting that it does not show the part number shown on the box that you listed

Checking the MPC the kit used (for dealer installed which should be the same or close to assembly especially for your specific need) C5ZZ-3A634-F which is the linkage kit (added to the other kits) shown in the picture below

Hope this helps
