Cleaning the undercarriage/02/11/66 San Jose Conv.
« on: February 12, 2025, 05:40:27 AM »
Starting the cleaning of this 02/11/66 San Jose convertible (Tahoe Turquoise). I will try and add more picks as I go. Underneath all the grime is a decently well preserved factory finish. There was some light overspray from a repaint in some areas but it is mostly coming off with scrubbing. I am using mostly Purple Power and Go Jo hand cleaner to get to the factory finish. Any other suggestions?
I really need a lift to make this easier, but I am just going to do it on my back for now.

Don't know how this went unanswered earlier but it appears that what your using is working. Beats the flammable nasty smelling thinners and reducers you could use. No matter what you use your going to remove the finnier overspray and likely remove maybe 50% of what was originally on the car creating more distinct edges on the overlapping paints

Thank you for sharing.  I have a car that I need to do the same thing to.  Interesting to hear Purple Power and Go Jo hand cleaner is working.  I will have to try that as well.    Thank you.
