Seat belt warning light hole
« on: May 29, 2025, 04:35:20 AM »
Hi
Have a 70 mustang car with tach  with seat belt warning light and park brake warning light are the holes in lower dash both meant to be under the cigarette lighter and wiper switch
Side by side or like the 69 top and below switches
If anyone has a picture  of the 70 lower dash
Thanks
Barry

Every 1970 convenience group / deluxe belts / tach car I've seen had the 2 lamps positioned like a 69 car, up and down with the "belts" light at the top and the "Park" light below it almost at the bottom of the dash. If your car doesn't have the top light hole, check your Marti report to see if it was optioned with Deluxe Belts. If you only got the Convenience Group (or Deluxe Belts without the Tach option) you should only have the lower hole.  Having both options is kinda rare unless your a Boss 429 guy ....

Wow !!
What an incredibly rare Mustang !! Before the Marti report was a thing my dad found a 1970 Mustang Q code convertible not far from our home. He tried for years to get the owner to sell it to him by stopping by about every six months. One day the Mustang and the owner were gone and my dad couldnt find them. At the time we had several rare Mustangs we were well pon our way to being known as the 'Mustang family' in town. My dad told me that 428 convertible was more rare than a Shelby of which we had two. Yours in Pastel Blue is such a rare gem of a Mustang, wishing you success with your restoration. Youre in the right place here.

Hi
Thank you for kind words
Yes it a big resto
It was rusty in all the normal spots
But have used mainly nos or original sheet metal
Yes it a lot rarer than any shelby or boss 429
But most people  wouldnot know that
