Were the pumps themselves natural cast iron? The MCA book list it under natural but then in parenthesis says silver but i think that is mainly referring to the reservoir. And also was the pulley natural or black?

Pump was typically painted black, but black or natural are acceptable. Pulley's were usually black.

Reservoirs on A/C cars on the fender apron were black. At least mine is/was. Also my NOS remote reservoir is semigloss black. However reservoirs on non-A/C cars were indeed silver.
