help needed on axle ID
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:49:15 PM »

Hi all,

Can you please help me with decoding my axle in my 65 K code.

I have been on Mustang Tek to decode the tag (see pic as attached) and it seems to say from the site that a HCZ-H decodes as a 3.89, whereby the ID on the bottom LHS of the tag, shows it to be a 3.50 ?

I'm now very confused, can anyone help ?

many thanks
Chris

Here is a  couple photos from the Kevin Marti "Mustang and Cougar tag book". The photos are in order for 65.

NOTE: the first photo states before Sept. 64.
the second photo states after Aug. 64.

Hope this helps.

thank you, very much appreciated.

the info does seem to indicate that the CZ-H tag can either indicate a 3.50 or 3.89 and my tag showing a 3.50 does fit with the Kar in the HiPo registry.
Cheers, Chris
