OK, I've got anouther question: What did the transport drivers back in 1965 tie the front of the car (Mustang) down by?-were there any type of brackets or did they just hook to part of the suspension?

It was a unique hook that went into the front frame slots.

It's a T shape (with a narrow loop on the end) sort of thing. I have pictures of it and the tie down instructions for rail transportation around here some where and have a couple of these I purchased a number of years ago

69's and '70's have the same T slot in the front rails. Flat bed tow trucks still use these as tie downs if accessible.
