I thought I would post these as I have my trans out and this seems to be the factory converter. There seems to be a date stamp and a blue paint stripe along with the 43 stamping called out in the shop manual.

"7D2" is your date code? This is for the '67 in your signature?

Definitely a factory converter with the FoMoCo stamp! Possibly a Ford service replacement if there was an issue early on and Ford replaced it.

Ahh! Now I see a correct build date...did you possibly update your signature?
I didn't see that date earlier...maybe it was my dirty reader glasses
