« on: February 18, 2020, 01:12:30 PM »
I have never seen a NOS one. So I need the best original black pad that I can find.
Thanks for any help.

Check the for sale section. A 67 can be used on a 68 easier than a 68 on a 67

Check the for sale section. A 67 can be used on a 68 easier than a 68 on a 67

I have a 68 test fit into my 67 right now and it fits fine.
Although the 68 has the cutout for the VIN by the time you put in the rubber windshield gasket and metal interior piece you are past the cutout.
The cutout is not for the visible part of the tag -- it's for the bend-over.
The visible part of the tag is on top of the dash pad.

The biggest issue I have with 67/68 dash pads is George Costanza "shrinkage".
They shrink from A-piller to A-piller.
My 68 dash is ok, but the 4 others have width issues.

I'm ready to try heat and hydraulics to rescue them!
