Ported vacuum switch-D0AE
« on: January 25, 2025, 10:37:53 PM »
I was looking at some of my switches today and noticed that one has a larger sensor bulb on the end then the others. Anybody have a clue as to why? They were both D0AE pieces.

That is not the only difference - there are more but don't know why the supplier changed the design.

Don't think this explains why but a fairly long thread on the switch can be found here.

Jeff, your link is circular, pointing back here instead of the intended thread.  Is this what you were thinking? https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=14113.msg107658#msg107658

I would think that link that 67gta289 posted here is the best thread/discussion we have on this topic.  That covers just about everything.

Sorry late at night post fixed it.

Since the focus was on the specific change and the DO version I choose the one above the other is still a great discussion and resource

Yes until we find (if one is still alive) an engineer that worked for the company that supplied them to the car companies
