Mfg - Carter

Date code - year

NOS - Don't know you'll have to look and maybe settle for the right look, finish and name so that you can at least capture 60-70% of the points until you find the perfect one.

I would be most concern with acquiring a nice rebuilt/restored Carter fuel pump that has the distinctive button top and one that has the Carter logo "CAR bure TER" .This last logo marking along with the button top is 98% of what you are looking for. NOS are out there but fewer of them to find 43 years after the fact . Finding a NOS one most likely will have a later service date code if that small detail is a concern. We most often overlook flange numbers and date codes on the fuelpump because they are most often extremely hard to read ,many times from the factory have incomplete stampings, and there is usually way too many other more visible issues with the cars that take attention away from this small detail.Bob

That is incorrect. The correct pumps is the Carter 4567S. I'm glad too that Bob brought up the subject of CARbureTOR. The 68 4567s pumps (I have found this to be consistent for all 3 plants) were made in the Carter US plant so it should say "Carter made in USA" In 69 the 4567s pump manufacture went back back to the canada plant where the castings used were the CARbureTOR castings

I agree with Tim on the logo cast into the 68 fuel pump having the "Carter USA" . I hadn't switched gears from 66,67 "CARbureTOR" mode. Sorry about that. The" Carter USA " is a little easier to find because the assemblyline and service replacements from 70 on had the " Carter made in USA " logo. Bob

But  ? If you were worried about that seller, I can personally vouch for him. Those pumps rebuilt go for $400 + all day long
