67-68 AC air box differences
« on: September 10, 2014, 11:05:27 PM »
Does any one know when the change over in 67 AC air boxes occurred? The early box half's joint directly to the bottom corner witch I am sure had leak problems. At some point it was redesigned to end higher making a more water tight pan. There is also a difference on the grill the latter version in much better made. I think I have see the latter design on some 67s but I do not know when they were built.

Checked my pictures of San Jose Mustangs and Shelby's and didn't find any with the style like shown in your #2 picture. Last one I have with the #1 style was built (real build date) of June 2nd

With a late date like that it may have been a 67-68 difference. More data needed.
Thanks for the reply.
