October 65 build.  Unfortunately, I cannot attest to the originality, but hope it helps.

I also have a '66 "T" code with a build date of March if memory serves.  I believe it has the screw that mjd 65 posted.

I borrowed this buck tag shot from Charles' post in the Fleet Color thread. Good example of the large head Phillips screw.

What's of more interest to me is the type of fender bolts, spring shield (upper A-arm bumper bracket) and hood hinge bolts that are visible. The shield bolts are of the external tooth washer design with a HTS head marking, the hinge and fender (barely visible) are the toothed disc design. This on a mid-April 66 build Metuchen car. Also of note, this VIN is listed in the Mustang Production Guide.

Like me to get a better pic of the hinge and fender bolts?

If you are going to post pictures, start a new thread in the Parts section and title it "Bolt Head Markings, 64-66". Please include where the bolts are located (fender, hood, etc), the VIN or at least the plant and build date. This is a project that has generated interest but no action and maybe it's time to do something about it. Other year cars, start another thread with a title of "Bolt Head Marking, 67-68", "Bolt Head Marking, 69-70" "Bolt Head Marking, 71-73" or "Bolt Head Marking, Other Ford Products" (Cougar, Fairlane, etc).

My Dec 65 built 66 has the flat screws on the buck tag and rear valance. Interesting point. No punch holes though! I am actually collating a speed sheet on NJ buck tags for 64 1/2 to 66 cars so please feel free to send pictures of them in to me via a PM to help me with my research.

Thanks!

Dan.

Dan what about starting a separate/new thread with that request or to have members post to the thread since you can't send a picture through the PM system?

Some may have many examples to share and retyping them all in a message might hold them back from joining in. Also retyping will leave out any punch mark/shapes and other details. Just a thought

In 1998 I did The Unofficial Buck Tag Chain Letter we I invited a bunch of people to send in all the buck tag info they had (buck tag and what options and accessories each car had) which we compiled and then the completed project was sent out to each participant. Looks like there are 7 or so pages of cars from your year and plant
