clutch pedal and steering wheel

 I have a 1964.5 mustang with a top loader 4 speed. When I push the clutch pedal in and release it, the pedal hits my left knee. I tried adjusting the seat to no avail. tilting my clutch foot and sometimes my foot slip off the pedal. What options do I have?

When releasing the clutch, the clutch hits your left knee???This doesn't sound possible.  Perhaps you meant your left knee hits the steering wheel?

I too am having problems visualizing  how the clutch pedal would make contact with your knee Picture might help a lot in this situation

His knee is  trapped between the door and the  steering wheel when he releases the clutch.
Why? He has long legs like me and that huge stock steering wheel.
There is not enough room between the wheel and door (handle).
As I recall, If you have a pony interior this really gets bad since the handle sticks into the interior further.

The first time I came upon this I couldn't release the clutch and ended up opening the door a bit to use the clutch!

I've had issues all of my life with nothing being made for those of us in the 6' 5" territory.
