Oct 20, 1975?  ;) Its a Motorcraft housing. Also the 65/66 would be all letters.
Yeah, you can see the "M" in the shadow, it's a replacement. I was distracted by New England picking on Indianapolis. And "all letters" except the year, as in 5KC.

Rims are all repops too, though I understand that is acceptable for Concours. In my opinion, allowing such things as "concours correct" take away from those who are showing restored/reburished originals. But I am sure opinions vary on such things.

Based on the level of workmanship skill seen elsewhere it should be relatively easy to determine if the radiator support had been replaced or not ;) .
You mean like this? ;)

Ignore anything that can be bolted on, original, NOS or repop. There are limited number of frame and sheetmetal details unique to a GT or dual exhaust car. 3 that I can see in detail are not correct.

Build sheet, invoice and welded sheetmetal dates could help change my mind that this is something more than a donor chassis with a mix of parts.

- The carb. is an above average C6ZF-C clone that was re-stamped. Some of the Hipo specific body features are even mimicked, both incorrectly. I don't want to write an FAQ for fraudsters so I'm leaving out the fine details.

I hate those Styled Steel Wheels that have a gold tint to the painted inserts.  It looks awful.  I bought a set of these, not knowing about the "charcoal" inserts not being charcoal.  I opened the first box, then sent them back to the vendor.
Too much junk, too little time.

The engine fan is a repo.

With the transmission, fuel pump, engine fan and carburetor being high end items by themselves, this Kar is already overpriced if those items were the only issues.

Besides the choke cable, what else is that coming through firewall?

I believe that the second thing that you are seeing is the wire loom to the heater motor and starter solenoid.

There is another black thing smaller than the choke cable. The wire loom would be the 3rd thing... ;)

I may not have explained myself fully in my statement. I am not referring to the plug as my second thing. In looking at other pictures in the auction, I feel that the smaller thing that you are seeing is the wire loom to the heater motor and starter solenoid.

I'm glad it's not just me, then!  That's one of those things that once you see it, you can't unsee it.  And those wheels are everywhere.  I see them all the time at shows.  Drives me crazy.
