IN 1969 (I was 11) my father needed a new car and visited Keyser Miller Ford in Collegeville PA for a look.   (He was a GM guy but still looked)

We walked into the showroom and I was greeted by a Maroon Boss 429 (will never forget as it was a two car showroom and it only had that car in it)

I said to my dad " Dad How about this one"  to which he replied "a sales professional can use a car like that" !!

P.S.  Today I consider myself a "sales professional" BUT I have 13 cars like that !

Would like to remember exactly what happened on March 9th 1964. A major day for the Mustang  and also, my birthday. Only thing I remember in that time was viewing the first  NEW Mustang on display at Collier Ford, in
Naples, Fl.......a Poppy Red coupe with 6 cyl, speed.

It's amazing, but I see something new every time I watch that Martha and the Vandellas 1965 "Video" - Probably the first music video of its kind every created.  I just noticed that the circular "Day" stamp that was a big paper circle was on the Driver's side Vent Window when it came off of the final assemble line.  Usually, It was on the upper left "Driver side" of the windshield normally. I never noticed that one before.

If I could/had to watch something in 1965 "Real Time" back in the Dearborn assembly Plant, It would definitely be their " Build Sheet process! For Sure!!

I toured the Ford Dearborn plant back in 1973.  Ford Mavericks were being assembled.  They didn't let you watch the entire car assembly.  You saw some floor and chassis panels being put into a jig, then flash, spot welded.  Further on down the line, the wheels going on.  Then the hood.  And the factory worker whailing on the latch and hood hinges to align them with a 2 pound ball pein hammer.....
